Prof. Rosales holds a PhD in Geography, a MSc in Ecology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology. With a work experience of 35 years since 1988 to 2023, she has been working as individual assistant of botany and statistics in parallel to her master's studies and in both the Private and Higher Education sectors with also several times as a consultant for international organizations.
Regarding her work experience, she is a Retired Full Professor from Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guyana in Venezuela and currently work as Professor Lecturer of the PhD of Biodiversity at the School of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Guyana in Guyana, where she has served for 6 years as a lecturer of Wetlands and Biogeography courses, PhD of Biodiversity Coordinator and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research.
Her teaching experience includes Biodiversity Foundations at PhD of Biodiversity University of Guyana; for the undergraduate level Environmental Management and Geography at University of Guyana Tropical ecosystems and Environments and Wetlands. Also taught Ecological Theory, Methods in Ecological and Environmental Research, Riparian Ecohydrology and Watershed Management as well as several Research Seminars at Graduate PhD of Environmental Sciences and MSc. Programme of Applied Ecology, and for undergraduate programme of Environmental Sciences Watershed Management at Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guyana.
She wrote many academic papers some of them highly cited as you can see:

As a Biologist with PhD in Geography, specialization in botany, plant ecology, riparian forests and river ecosystems, her special interest as a scientist is in aquatic ecosystems, rivers, wetlands, forests and savannas.
Please notice her main contributions in science have been published in international journals and books:
- Identifying key species in maintaining the ecohydrological dynamics of riparian forests in the Orinoquia and the Guiana Shield.
- Identifying hydro-sedimentary-geomorphological multivariate factors related to species diversity of communities in keystone forests tree species.
- Identifying tree species that can be used by local inhabitants for reforestation of degraded forests.
- Identifying ethnobotanical forest knowledge in local inhabitants.
- Identifying indicators of mainstreaming adaptation to aridity processes expected as a result of climate change in countries inhabitants.
One of her important strengths and a passion during her career as a Senior scientist is the creation and certification of academic programmes and units. She created the Research Station of Parupa in Canaima National Park, the programme of Parabiologists for indigenous communities in Caura River basin that was further included in formation of parabiologists of the Pemon indigenous communities in Caroni river basin, Creation and accreditation of the Postgraduate programmes of Environmental Sciences from Specialization, Master and PhD for the Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guyana in Venezuela, creation of the School of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Guyana.
She also has a role in several organizing several important academic events.
