  • Plan the Opening and Closing Ceremonies with the relevant Sub-Committees and DECC.

The Academic Sub-Committee

 

  • Ensure the successful planning, implementation and conduct of the Symposium. 
     
  • Manage the calls for Abstracts and Papers, 
    ​​​​​​​
  • Review Abstracts, decide on the acceptance of papers, schedule sessions
     
  • Draft the programme for the Symposium.
     
  • Identify Keynote Speakers, Moderators/ Rapporteurs for non-parallel and parallel sessions.

  • Organize five (5) minutes of Thesis competition.

  • Decide on the number of persons who are eligible to enter the competition.

  • Solicit donor/sponsor support, registration and budgeting.

Exhibitions Committee (includes arts, library)
  • Virtual Art Exhibition featuring the work of students and lecturers, display of Books and Papers written by UG Researchers. 
     
  • Select students’ thesis for display. 
     
  • Performances during breaks/intervals as well as at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
     
  • Presentations by the Senior Library Staff.
